Genshin Impact’s latest update, Version 5.2 ‘Tapestry of Spirit and Flame’ is coming real soon and we just got word on the Special Program Announcement that’ll breakdown what players can expect when the update goes live later this month.
So today we’re checking out some of the details we know about both the Ver. 5.2 update in Genshin as well as the Special Program Announcement to see what they’ll include during the livestream.

Let’s get straight into it!
First things first, the Ver. 5.2 Special Program Announcement livestream is set for November 11th, 2024 at 07:00AM (UTC-5).
If you’re new to Hoyoverse games or Genshin Impact, ‘Special Program Announcements’ typically happen before the release of the latest version Genshin update and details the Genshin Impact events, banners, and other important changes the update will include.
Which also means since we’ve got the Special Program Announcement livestream coming up real soon, we can also expect the Genshin Impact Ver. 5.2 update shortly thereafter so if you see these live streams pop-up, just know the game is getting an update soon.
Besides the livestream date announcement, they’ve also mentioned a bit on what the program will feature, stating it includes ‘juicy details about new game content and developments in Version 5.2.’.
You’ll also get a couple new redeem Genshin Impact codes and rewards so stay tuned to the livestream to gather up some Primogems.
This doesn’t give us too much of an indication on what the Genshin Impact new update will bring, but based on leaks and information from the devs, we do have idea of what to expect.
Firstly, the new banner will be Chasca and Ororon, both of which seem to be ‘Bow’ weapon users based on screenshots from in-game Quests and trailers featuring the two.
We’ll also receive a bunch of Quality-of-Life improvements to the game such as an upgraded Treasure Compass that can detect a wider range of chests, including in Time Trial Challenges and Seelie Courts.
To add to that, we’re also getting a ‘Quick Swap’ feature which you can use to automatically switch your Treasure Compass and Oculus Resonance Stones according to the region you’re in.
Besides that, we’re also getting some upgrades to the auto-lock features and organizational tools for Artifacts, optimizations to the Weapons Selection page, Genshin Impact updates to the Serenitea Pot, and increased base DMG for some Elemental Reactions which includes:
Overloaded
Super-conduct
Electro-charged
Shatter

All this said, when can we actually expect Genshin Impact Ver. 5.2 Tapestry of Spirit and Flame to release? For now, Genshin themselves haven’t explicitly mentioned when the update will go live but according to their update schedule, we’re expecting the Genshin Impact Ver. 5.2 update to go live on November 20th, 2024.
Barring any unforeseen circumstances, it’s safe to say the update will land then but we should get a proper release date during the livestream in the next couple of days.
